From Good Jobs Better Baltimore:
We can no longer kick the can to the next generation. After years of neglect, our roads, bridges, ports, and schools are in need of repair.
According to a report released by Transportation for America, the Baltimore-Towson metro area, as of 2009, had 167 deficient bridges. Over 3 million people crossed these bridges every day or about 35 drivers per second.
As part of a national day of action on November 17th, Good Jobs Better Baltimore, along with community activists, local churches, and Occupy Baltimore, will march on the Howard Street bridge in support of job growth and infrastructure improvements. With 25 million Americans looking for work, we need to take action now.
